An international law enforcement task force has shut down Ghost, an encrypted communications app that was used by criminals to coordinate their activities.

The city is cracking down on illegal license plates, otherwise known as ghost plates. Mayor Eric Adams says many have these plates to evade toll readers, tickets, and commit crimes. As of last week, a new 90-day task force was initiated to crack down on parked ghost car removal.
